Members' Trading Floor

Members' Trading Floor is not a market mechanic at all — it is the name of a specific chatroom inside TrueTrader's community where members post their own live trades as they happen. It sits alongside other channels (education, general chat, news) but is reserved for real-time trade reporting rather than discussion or commentary.

The idea is that when a member enters or exits a position, they post it there in a standard format: the ticker (the short code for the stock or asset, like AAPL for Apple), whether they are long (betting the price rises) or short (betting it falls), and the price they got. When they close the trade, they typically follow up with the exit price and sometimes the resulting profit or loss, either in dollars or as a percentage.

The nuance beginners miss is that this floor is a record of what members are actually doing, not a signal service or a recommendation feed. A post here means someone already placed the trade — it already happened in their account. It is not advice to copy the trade, and prices can move between when someone posts and when another trader reads it, so blindly mirroring a post is different from executing your own analysis at your own price.

Because it's a self-reported log, its usefulness depends entirely on members actually posting completely and honestly — entries without exits, or missing prices, make the record much less useful for anyone trying to learn from it.
