Google and RKLB hit their morning wire targets on Fed day

The pre-market levels did the heavy lifting: RKLB came off at its morning wire target and a Google short ran the full distance from its wire level, stop and all, without needing to be renegotiated mid-trade. Oracle was the harder read — the desk shorted the clean move up, added while keeping the stop pinned above the highs, and got squeezed out on one candle; a second Oracle short came off for a partial move. An Intel long was the patience trade of the session, held through a slow grind, partialled, moved to breakeven and then added to.

Net points are per share. Apply your own size to get your own number: at 1,000 shares, 4.10 points is $4,100.00. At 100 shares it is $410.00. At one share it is $4.10. The desk publishes the move, not a dollar result, because the dollars depend entirely on how you size, and that is your decision rather than ours.

The 1h 11m session is on the other side of this.

Everything above is the write-up. This is the morning itself, with the names on every call and the room talking through it.

TrueTrader is a live trading desk — a group of traders working the market open out loud, every weekday. The clips below are unedited audio from that room on this morning, dropped in where they happened.

“When you avoid paper cuts and losses, can go heavier size and you have all the room in the world because you're making anything back.”

Why avoiding the paper cuts is what lets you go heavy when the real hand comes — trade like you're dealt Ace-King.

Dan Parker · TrueTrader desk10:29 AM · Stocks room · 2:45
“But I think you'll have more fun playing blackjack for, like, 2 or 3 hours than losing in 2 minutes.”

Everyone knows the hike is coming — so where's your edge? A reminder that trading the Fed is closer to gambling than an edge.

Dan Parker · TrueTrader desk10:33 AM · Stocks room · 1:07
“So I wouldn't trade this event, honestly, if you're not experienced, at least.”

When the whole edge is in how someone says one word, sometimes the smart trade is no trade at all.
