McDonald's, Palantir and Amazon carried a panicky tape
Our desk read the morning as sell-the-pop early and traded it that way: a Palantir short held through the PMI number for the full move, an Apple scalp followed by an Amazon long taken on a clean cross and carried to target, and a McDonald's swing built on a multi-year low with a second trader joining intraday and trailing the stop behind it. The friction sat in Google and Shopify, where repeated stop-outs — some of them by cents — preceded the entries that finally held. Position size, not conviction, was what made those repeat attempts survivable.
The morning in figures
Net points are per share. Apply your own size to get your own number: at 1,000 shares, 4.42 points is $4,420.00. At 100 shares it is $442.00. At one share it is $4.42. The desk publishes the move, not a dollar result, because the dollars depend entirely on how you size, and that is your decision rather than ours.

The 1h 12m session is on the other side of this.
Everything above is the write-up. This is the morning itself, with the names on every call and the room talking through it.
