Half booked on an Apple breakout before the trail takes the rest
The desk went long Apple anticipating a breakout rather than waiting for confirmation, and priced that in immediately with a tight stop defined before the trade had done anything. Half came off at the top of the channel, the stop was trailed up behind it, and the remainder was taken out on that trail — a position openly being run against the broader market, which is exactly why it was sized and stopped the way it was. Premarket work on Oracle, QQQ and Intel stayed on the watchlist: the Oracle short idea was flipped to a possible long and left alone, and the Intel candle was read as not real.
The morning in figures
Net points are per share. Apply your own size to get your own number: at 1,000 shares, 6.20 points is $6,200.00. At 100 shares it is $620.00. At one share it is $6.20. The desk publishes the move, not a dollar result, because the dollars depend entirely on how you size, and that is your decision rather than ours.

The 1h 09m session is on the other side of this.
Everything above is the write-up. This is the morning itself, with the names on every call and the room talking through it.
Half came off at the top of the channel. The stop then moved up under the remainder, and the tape reached down and took it. Nothing went wrong there — the trail did its job, which is to end the trade without a conversation. The rest of the premarket list never earned a fill: Oracle was flagged as a short, reconsidered as a long, and left; the Intel candle was called out as not real and skipped; QQQ looked interesting but was already part-sold from Friday and was not re-engaged.
Heard in the room
TrueTrader is a live trading desk — a group of traders working the market open out loud, every weekday. These are unedited captures from that room on this morning, in the order they were said.
The room had got onto whether video games build the reflexes short-timeframe trading runs on — fast twitch, pattern memory. Dan Parker reckoned gaming had helped his; Brandon knew a firm that had already bet on it.
“That probably helped your trading, honestly.”
Every trade called that morning
Losers included. Rows with more than one leg were scaled out; open any row to see each exit.
