← Options Glossary The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) provides central counterparty clearing and settlement services to 15 exchanges. Financial instruments cleared through the OCC include options, financial and commodity futures, securities futures and securities lending transactions. In its role as a clearing house, the OCC acts as a guarantor between counterparties ensuring that the obligations of the contracts they clear are fulfilled. The OCC operates under the jurisdiction of both the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commision (CFTC).
